Pretty Vicious photographed in London. I was commissioned by Big Machine records to do press shots for the band. They wanted the shoot to be urban and British. We spent the day doing location shoots in East and North London, when I stumbled upon some empty shipping freights. I told the band to get inside and I put a fisheye lens on my camera and got this cool shot. We then went back to my place for pizza, beer and the band insisted on watching bloody ‘Love Island’!

The Courteeners

The Courteeners photographed on the first night of their seven sold out gigs at the Manchester Apollo in December 2015. I was supposed to photograph them at Shepherds Bush Empire before travelling up to Manchester with them to shoot their Apollo gigs. But due to structural damage to the Shepherds Bush Empire, the gig was cancelled just before the band were supposed to go on stage. It was an amazing night and the crowd were absolutely buzzing.

Amyl and the Sniffers
Colour, A, Artists By Letter, Live
Amyl and the Sniffers performing live at the Brixton Windmill in London, England 2018. It was a summers day and I met the band in Brixton that afternoon. They wanted some portrait shots done, so we decided to do them around the Brixton Windmill. They played an excellent set later that evening in a packed out venue, the atmosphere was electric. There was crowd surfing, moshing, sweat and the band going mental on stage. One of the best gigs I’d been to in a while and brilliant to photograph.

IDLES
Colour, Artists By Letter, I, Live
IDLES performing live at The Roundhouse in Camden, London. I had photographed the band on numerous occasions and they were performing live as part of the Q Awards. This photo is of Mark Bowen the lead guitarist who had to go on stage with his underpants, due to an incident back stage in the toilet, where he got soaked with water. After performing live in his underpants, he carried on playing in his y-fronts for further year or so until he started to favour a dress.
