I was supposed to be photographing Graham Coxon on the main stage, but I had heard their demo and knew they were going to be big. So to the PR’s surprise, I said I was not going to shoot Graham Coxon and I was going to one of the smaller stages to photograph the Arctic Monkeys, to which he replied “who”. The tent was absolutely rammed and it was an awesome performance. This shot was used as the front cover on the NME, three months after I picked up a camera and the Arctic Monkeys did become big.
