Pretty Vicious photographed in London. I was commissioned by Big Machine records to do press shots for the band. They wanted the shoot to be urban and British. We spent the day doing location shoots in East and North London, when I stumbled upon some empty shipping freights. I told the band to get inside and I put a fisheye lens on my camera and got this cool shot. We then went back to my place for pizza, beer and the band insisted on watching bloody 'Love Island'!

The Libertines

The Libertines photographed backstage at Margate Winter Gardens in October 2017, as part of their Tiddeley Om Pom Pom Tour. I was doing a reportage shoot with the band for the tour and I wanted to get a backstage shot of them together in Margate, as they had recently opened a hotel and recording studio there. Peter kept intermittently appearing and repeatedly telling me I remind him of Dustin Hoffman, then disappearing once I had gathered the rest of the band. I eventually managed to get them all together just before they went on stage. It was an excellent night at an excellent venue.

Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys photographed at Leeds Festival in 2005.
I was supposed to be photographing Graham Coxon on the main stage, but I had heard their demo and knew they were going to be big. So to the PR's surprise, I said I was not going to shoot Graham Coxon and I was going to one of the smaller stages to photograph the Arctic Monkeys, to which he replied "who". The tent was absolutely rammed and it was an awesome performance. This shot was used as the front cover on the NME, three months after I picked up a camera and the Arctic Monkeys did become big.
