The Libertines

The Libertines photographed backstage at Margate Winter Gardens in October 2017, as part of their Tiddeley Om Pom Pom Tour. I was doing a reportage shoot with the band for the tour and I wanted to get a backstage shot of them together in Margate, as they had recently opened a hotel and recording studio there. Peter kept intermittently appearing and repeatedly telling me I remind him of Dustin Hoffman, then disappearing once I had gathered the rest of the band. I eventually managed to get them all together just before they went on stage. It was an excellent night at an excellent venue.

Idles
Colour, Artists By Letter, I, Live
IDLES performing live at The Roundhouse in Camden, London. I had photographed the band on numerous occasions and they were performing live as part of the Q Awards. This photo is of Mark Bowen the lead guitarist who had to go on stage with his underpants, due to an incident back stage in the toilet, where he got soaked with water. After performing live in his underpants, he carried on playing in his y-fronts for further year or so until he started to favour a dress.

Circa Waves

Circa Waves photographed in a studio I set up backstage at The Oxford Academy. I was commissioned to do a feature on the band and we did a location shoot around Oxford before returning to the venue to some more serious moody shots. I took this backstage after soundcheck before we went for a curry and the band played live.
